Objectives

• To conserve, safeguard and study the collections received in the context of the first school of Social Work and its agents.
• To interpret and raise awareness of the existing documentary and historical heritage on Social Work and Social Intervention in Portugal and around the world, enabling the creation of theoretical reflections and practical premises.
• Mediating a journey through the relationship between a purpose, documentary nuclei, artefacts, knowledge(s) and sensory and emotional experiences.
• Transmitting and promoting the knowledge resulting from the heritage studied - revealing meanings and interactions beyond simple information, using the greatest possible diversity of means of expression (creation of scientific, cultural and educational products).
